Media personality Terryanne Chebet has come under criticism from Kenyans On Twitter (KOT) after she exposed how a Kenyan youth missed a job opportunity for stalking her.
In screenshots shared on her social media handles on Tuesday, Chebet disclosed that she had turned down the job application despite the young man being qualified.
She stated that the young man had sent her a message requesting an opportunity to work with her, a request that she accepted, and asked him to send his resume to her mail.
Upon her perusal of the resume, Chebet was impressed by the job seeker’s qualification and was open to offering him the job.
However, things changed when she realized that he had been flirting with her.
A very short story. I’m all about shooting your shot, but not when you’re actively job hunting. Got an inbox, good candidate, mailed him to book an interview, only to scroll up on IG to see messages he had been sending me, which I hadn’t seen. The End. Like, The End She wrote

Her expose however drew mixed reactions from Kenyans who were divided on the validity of her actions.
Edwin: Terryanne.. It is not what he said but the state of his current affairs. If the Dude was in the desired state of life..And desirable…Nothing like creepy will exist.
Alex: What if that guy shamed by terryanne self-esteem goes down ends up committing suicide? We live in crazy times we have to be sensitive especially when we don’t know people’s struggles
Shawn: I see no problem in the guy -aspiring employee- liking Terryanne. The guy was trying his luck & wise enough Terry could have told him that she ain’t interested. But didn’t. She’d have informed him that their relationship ought to only be professional.
Tom: A man does not become morally wrong or professionally unfit because he fired his shot on her crush. We are tired of nduru.
Agnes: So much can be said of the post by Terryanne Chebet but the lesson is that it’s always important to remain professional in what we post and send to DMs. Don’t let today’s fleeting feelings of love or hate stand in your way to opportunities tomorrow. Sawa?
